Duquesne University has announced the winners of the 2020 Duquesne New Ventures Challenge (DNVC). Lean Med came in 3rd Place out of over 70 applicants with their solution for increasing access to oxygen therapy in rural areas of developing nations.
The DNVC is a business competition designed to support local entrepeneurs in their unique ventures. The competition is conducted in 2 stages, with Stage 1 consisting entirely of a pitch video submission. Stage 2 is focused on the top competitors, with the preparation and submission of a complete business plan as well as a live presentation to a panel of judges.
With the unique difficulties presented by COVID-19, the live presentation was instead converted to a recorded video session. We are incredibly thankful to Duquesne University for their efforts to overcome the obstacle of COVID-19 whilst keeping the safety of all participants in mind.
